About the Role

Darkroom is looking for a

Performance Creative Consultant

to join us on a

short-term basis

and provide high-impact coaching and guidance to our Associate Creative Directors.This role is ideal for someone who brings hands-on experience in DTC-focused performance creative and has a deep understanding of creative testing, hooks, and messaging frameworks.

You'll lead a series of coaching sessions, share insights from your experience building effective ad creatives, and help us document best practices into clear SOPs for future use. What You'll Do Coach ACDs on high-performing creative strategy and execution Lead short training sessions on creative testing and performance frameworks Provide examples and guidance on structuring messaging, hooks, and angles Advise on Meta ad creative strategy and DTC creative best practices Build clear and actionable SOPs based on your coaching sessions Who You Are A creative strategist or performance marketing expert with a proven track record in scaling brands through high-impact creative Experienced in concepting, building, and testing ad creatives for paid social, particularly on Meta platforms Deeply familiar with performance marketing frameworks (e.g., PAS, AIDA, Before/After/Bridge, etc.) Strong in messaging ideation, with the ability to craft compelling hooks, angles, and narratives for direct-response ads Comfortable coaching and collaborating with creative leaders, offering clear feedback and insight Excellent at presenting concepts, and skilled in creating documentation, SOPs, or playbooks Brings experience working with DTC or eCommerce brands, understanding fast-paced, data-driven creative needs Has an agency background and understands how to drive performance across multiple accounts or clients
