Pay: $18.00/hr

Location: 5168 Ezell Rd., Graceville, FL 32440

Status: Full Time, Monday – Friday

Overview Graceville Correctional Facility located in Graceville, FL, is hiring career-minded people to assist with securing the safety of the community and positively impacting the lives of those in custody.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inmates for examination and treatment in accordance with MTC directives and assist the dentist in procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain supplies; manage appointment schedules and perform clerical duties as needed.
• Maintain records of inmates with strict confidentiality and observe HIPAA rules.
• Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions as prescribed by the dentist.
• Assist in taking patient X-rays.
• Support staff in promoting positive social skills and provide feedback on procedures and intervention techniques.
• Maintain accountability of staff, detainees, and property; adhere to safety practices.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within capabilities determined by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months clinical dental assistant experience
• Current certification or registration as a dental assistant in the state of Florida
• Current certification in dental radiological procedures
• CPR certification
• Continuing education as required
• Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record, unless waived by management

Post Hire Qualifications and Training

• Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements
