About the Role We're looking for a skilled and experienced
DAS Field Engineer
to join our growing Technical Services team. In this role, you'll be hands-on with commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) , including
public safety (ERRCS)
and commercial in-building wireless solutions. The right candidate can independently lead all phases of DAS deployment while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring carrier-grade quality.
What You'll Do Review and redline RF design documents, iBwave files, and construction drawings to reflect real-world conditions. Perform and analyze
Line/Sweep, PIM, CW testing, Noise Figure Calculations, and OTDR testing
to ensure system performance and compliance. Commission, optimize, and integrate DAS solutions from leading OEMs (CommScope, Corning, JMA, SOLiD, ADRF, Comba, Fiplex, etc.). Collect ATP data and create RF link budgets. Collaborate with Project Managers, RF Engineers, and GC teams to deliver projects on time and on budget. Troubleshoot and resolve system faults with precision. Conduct site walks, audits, and post-deployment verifications. Document everything: redlines, daily reports, test results, and closeout packages. Mentor junior team members on DAS best practices, safety, and troubleshooting. What You Bring
3-5+ years of hands-on DAS commissioning and testing experience. Proficiency with industry test equipment: Anritsu, EXFO, PCTel, IBFlex scanner, SeeHawk, NEMO Walker Air UE, or equivalent. Strong understanding of
RF fundamentals, signal propagation, and ERRCS/NFPA code compliance. Experience with RF software and commissioning platforms for major OEMs. OSHA 30, RF Safety, First Aid/CPR certifications preferred. Valid driver's license with flexibility for travel and occasional night/weekend work. Physical / Work Environment
Work in active construction environments (indoor/outdoor). Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work on lifts/rooftops/confined spaces.
