Responsibilities
- Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus
Requirements
Before applying, ensure you meet the state requirements outlined below.
- Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays
- Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays)
- Georgia: CPR Certification, EFDA certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays
- Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements
- Michigan: upon hiring, furnish evidence of X-ray training certification; 8-week grace period to submit if not yet certified
- New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training
- New York: Not applicable
- Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
- Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE
