Compunnel, Inc. is hiring: Phlebotomist in Cambridge

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drawing blood, excellent patient service skills, and a commitment to safety and accuracy in specimen collection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood samples from patients via venipuncture or capillary puncture
• Properly label and handle specimens for laboratory analysis
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen documentation
• Ensure all equipment is clean, sterilized, and properly maintained
• Follow established protocols for infection control and patient safety
• Provide excellent customer service and ease patient anxieties during the blood draw process
• Transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in phlebotomy or clinical laboratory setting
• Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and blood specimen handling

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)

Certifications:

• Current Phlebotomy Certification (CPT or equivalent)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
