Job Title: Phlebotomist Job Description
We are seeking experienced phlebotomists to join our team in a doctor's office setting. You will be responsible for drawing patients' blood, performing specimen processing, and ensuring accurate entry into the computer system. This role includes preparing samples for analytical testing and distributing specimens to the appropriate analytical areas. You will also conduct specified analytical testing as assigned, while adhering to the Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities

Collect and receive biological specimens and enter them into the company’s computer system.

Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute specimens to the proper analytical area.

Handle both pre- and post-analytical testing responsibilities.

Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.

Follow the guidelines outlined in the Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills
-
2-3 years of prior pediatric phlebotomy experience.

Proficient in blood draw and specimen collection.

Experienced in laboratory and specimen processing.

Ability to work independently.

GED or High School Diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Patient care skills.

Familiarity with phlebotomy practices.
Work Environment
This position is based in the Phoenix Children's Hospital outpatient office in East Mesa. You will work closely with medical assistants in a professional healthcare setting. The hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The role offers growth opportunities, including eligibility for a career ladder advancement to Phleb Tech 2 after six months, with a subsequent pay increase. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
