Responsibilities
60% Functions as a Coordinator of Faculty Affairs who will coordinate and implement administrative and operational activities of the faculty affairs office for the Department of Radiation Oncology; plans, coordinates and facilitates faculty affairs for 50+ clinical and tenure track faculty; serves as primary contact for departmental AP&T (Appointment, Promotion and Tenure) process; creates and manages a centralized office dedicated to the faculty A,P&T processes and requirements; works alongside AP&T committee chairs, in developing and executing department’s strategic plan initiatives for faculty development and promotion and tenure efforts; develops and maintains AP&T tracking system; facilitates faculty development process and faculty success and mentorship program; coordinates and oversees cyclical faculty affairs processes; reviews and monitors faculty review dates to maintain awareness of mandatory review dates; facilitates P&T discussions and voting at faculty meetings; serves as departmental contact for College of Medicine’s Office of Academic Affairs (OAA); manage annual faculty review process.
20% Assist in management and maintains administrative calendars of chairs office; assists in facilitating all aspects of prompt high-level patient care; processes local, national and international travel requests and reimbursements; processes requests for purchases, payments and reimbursements; assists and supports Department Chair and Department Administrator with administrative operations including human resources, procurement and fiscal activities.
20% Assist department administrator and chair as requested; serve as backup to Assistant to Department Chair; coordinate monthly faculty meetings; produce department annual report. Manages and operates department website updates
5% Other duties as assigned
