Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position at a critical access facility, requiring a WA or compact RN license and Epic documentation experience.
Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a critical access hospital Patient ratios are 1:3 for couplet care and 1:1 for intrapartum patients No floating required between units, but may be expected to float to nearby sister facilities Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00 Weekend shifts are required as needed Uses Epic EMR system; experience with Epic is required No on-call hours are required First time travelers are welcome to apply Scrub color is flexible; any color is permitted Night shift orientation is provided Travelers may be required to float within the state to support sister facilities if needed Holiday coverage may be required Return Providence staff are subject to a three-month waiting period before eligibility as a traveler Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted up front during application; post-offer RTO may not be approved
Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience Ability to provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of recent, relevant employment Comfortable using Epic EMR system Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to qualify as a traveler Previous permanent staff at the facility must wait 3 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
