Overview

SOS International LLC is seeking a Talent Development Manager to join our team in Reston, VA. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and employee management, with excellent communication and organizational skills. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage the human resources operations and contribute to our company's growth and culture.

Essential Job Duties

Designs and facilitate a Manager Development Program, ensuring that all new and newly promoted managers complete the program

Designs, promotes, and facilitates development opportunities for all managers and employees

Build a career development program targeted at the internal upskilling of our workforce in strategic areas such as Engineering

Facilitate and promote overall SOSi Learning Initiative

Leverage internal resources such as UKG Biz Library, Lunch & Learns, etc for development

Facilitate High/Emerging Potential Programs

In partnership with HRLT, define and execute on robust SOSi Global Mobility Program

Facilitates departmental team-building sessions

Foster a culture of continuous learning by identifying skill gaps and recommending appropriate development opportunities

Identify specific skills needed for career progression and provide guidance on acquiring those skills through training, mentorship, or self-directed learning

Guide employees through career transitions, including promotions, lateral moves, and changes in professional focus

Collaborate with business leaders to identify job openings and promote the benefit of job training and placement services

Conduct training needs analysis to define management-related training needs, identifies problems and areas of concern through collaboration across departments

Research and gather data pertinent to programming and assists with the evaluation and measurement of program effectiveness

Recommend additional education and skill training opportunities to reach higher career goals

Stay informed about the company's strategic goals, career progression pathways, and internal mobility opportunities to effectively advise employees

Define and develop career pathways

Identify high-potential employees within the organization and provide them with targeted coaching to accelerate their development

Continuously educate managers and employees on the benefits of career coaching

Assist in employer recognition initiatives

Design, implement, maintain Internship Program and academia relations

Design programs and activities to address specific management obstacles

Support Talent Acquisition Team with internal candidate identification

Create internal talent pipelines through UKG Talent Profile to support open requisitions, as well as proposal efforts

Recruiting against open positions, as well as strategic recruiting hires as needed

Minimum Requirements

8+ years of human resources experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience with talent management programs

Experience designing and delivering learning content

Experience in employee development

Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)

Experience advising and counseling managers

Experience training and developing managers

Experience with personality assessment tools

SHRM or HRCI certification preferred

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong relationship management skills

Preferred Qualifications

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).

Government contracting experience

Demonstrated success in supporting organizations with between 1000-1500 employees

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.

May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
