General Logistics Systems (GLS) is an established provider of time-critical package shipping solutions operating in more than 40 countries across Europe for over 30 years. We have expanded to the US and are building a combined express parcel and dedicated offering that is faster and more flexible than competitors. Purpose of Position

Our package handlers are front-line employees who sort and verify packages are routed correctly to ensure proper delivery timelines. They work as a team to complete behind-the-scenes tasks safely and efficiently; no day is the same. We seek individuals who value safety, quality, and speed.

Essential Job Functions

• Scan and/or sort packages, load and unload trucks
• Operate equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks
• Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Work Environment

Work Environment: Characteristics are relatively stable and may be wet and/or humid. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat and vibrations. The noise level is usually loud and exposure to hazardous environmental conditions is moderate. Standing for prolonged periods is required. Regularly works in outside weather conditions.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be willing to follow instructions, accept supervision, maintain a positive attitude, and cooperate with co-workers and supervisors.
