Job Title: Order Picker
Job Description
The Order Picker is responsible for manual labor and equipment operation, including electric pallet jacks, stretch-wrappers, and pallet inverters. The role involves unloading products from tractor-trailers and rail containers, verifying and counting received products accurately, inspecting conditions, and processing defective items as per standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
Unload products from tractor-trailers and rail containers.
Verify product received is identified and counted accurately.
Inspect condition of received product and remove damaged or non-conforming items.
Process defective product according to standard operating procedures.
Scan pallet barcodes using RF equipment.
Move and place products safely and securely in storage locations using heavy equipment.
Receive and evaluate printed orders for selection and preparation requirements.
Fill orders by accurately picking products from storage areas.
Use scanning devices and computers to ensure order accuracy.
Correct shortages, over-counts, and incorrect batch codes as needed.
Move products from staging areas or directly from storage into trailers.
Inspect trucks for quality and sanitary requirements.
Verify markings, trailer numbers, and shipping documents.
Fill trucks using designated loading patterns and guidelines.
Properly secure loads for travel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.00/hr.
