JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for translating requirements into maintainable solutions for our C5 and Cyber Solution Centers. As a vital member of a Scrum team, you will play a key role in setting the direction and strategy for product and infrastructure development.
Support the engineering team as a subject matter expert in embedded software application development.
Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with a multi-discipline team.
Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts in software development for target hardware.
Collaborate with cross-functional members to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing.
Develop software test plans and procedures, and other technical documentation.
Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results.
Participate in peer reviews, identify, track, and repair defects.
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Implement software for embedded real-time operating systems using various software languages, primarily C/C++.
Experience with RTOS, Embedded software, C++, Software development, C/C++, Programming, Embedded C++.
5+ years of embedded C++ experience developing applications on simulated and target hardware.
Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
Usage of a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.
Excellent debugging skills.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with software modeling and UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo.
Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real-time embedded systems.
Experience with Information Assurance, cryptography, telecom, satellite industry or products.
Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or other software certifications such as DO-178.
Cyber security experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $125.00/hr.
