Clinician First Five - BCBA, LCSW, LMHC or LMFT

Salary: $87,500/year

Overview

Professional position providing clinical consultation in the First Five program. The Clinician will focus on relationship development with families and early learning center staff in tandem with observations in centers and homes. The Clinician will assess and determine the need for behavioral intervention plans for all learners referred to First Five in collaboration with center staff, families, and classroom consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed care to support children and families by strengthening and enhancing services in early learning centers.
  • Identify children needing behavioral support through classroom observation and determine appropriate service pathways based on complexity and risk of expulsion.
  • Conduct home and center observations to develop individual behavior plans and social skill acquisition protocols for children needing behavioral support.
  • Develop trauma-informed behavior analysis, coping strategies, and related supports with the child and family in home settings; assist in implementing strategies at home or school.
  • Collaborate with the Behavior Specialist, Subject Matter Expert (SME), and classroom consultants to train staff and families on behavioral intervention plans and fidelity of implementation.
  • Provide on-site access to home-based behavioral and social-emotional consultation for critical incidents and coordinate follow-up debriefings with staff and families.
  • Work with the First Five team to provide comprehensive services in collaboration with early learning staff.
  • Meet productivity requirements of 120 client service hours monthly.
  • As an essential services provider, be willing and able to deliver vital services in emergencies, pandemics, or disaster situations.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited university.
  • Active Florida licensure: one of the following (and maintain at the team member's expense): Licensed Psychologist, Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Two years of relevant experience working with children under five in early childhood education, including collaboration with center directors, teachers, and caregivers to implement trauma-informed practices.
  • Experience assessing behavioral function, developing intervention plans, training and coaching educators and caregivers, and overseeing fidelity of implementation by behavioral specialists.
