Job Title : Universal Loan Processor

Status : Full-Time (40-hours a week)

Supervisor : Consumer Loan Manager Position Purpose

Responsible for verifying loan documentation participating in the Credit Union's Indirect and Direct lending program, funding loans for the members and auto dealerships, and completing file maintenance for each loan in the core system. Contributes to the organization's value by assisting with the process of adding assets to the Credit Union's portfolio. Works directly with members and auto dealerships. Essential Duties, Skills & Abilities

Exhibit outstanding member services skills by applying Granite Credit Union Core Values.

Process and support a full range of consumer loan products, including autos, personal loans, credit cards, and lines of credit, ensuring accuracy and timely funding.

Reviews documentation to ensure it corresponds with loan application; confirms the accuracy of member information, conducts a comprehensive review of income verification, loads data in Loan Origination System, and funds in accordance with loan officer's instructions/stipulations. Work directly with Indirect Auto dealers and partners to communicate loan stipulations and funding.

Accepts incoming calls from vendors, dealerships, partners, and external and internal members. Answers questions and provides information related to loan processing and loan funding.

Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to resolve documentation discrepancies and support member lending needs.

Completes verification of Indirect and Direct Lending applicants' collateral along with verification of physical damage insurance coverage for the financed vehicle.

Direct Lending processing, including verifying documentation, communicating loan stipulations to staff, and funding loans according to established guidelines.

Compiles all loan documents for a completed loan packet for Indirect and Direct loans.

Input loan data and complete file maintenance in the core system.

Adheres to all auditing procedures designed to document the lending process and provide the proper checks and balances.

Ensure compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential. Maintain the security of the work area and keep it organized and neat in appearance.

Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including fellow employees, members, management staff, board members, and outside vendors.

Attend meetings as required.

Promote a professional appearance and attitude.

Basic computer operating skills such as email, Microsoft Office, etc.

Required Knowledge

Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations.

Knowledge of mortgage lending laws and regulations.

2-3 years of consumer loan processing experience (preferred). Education
