Choice of Coverage Area: Alameda: Castro Valley, Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore--- Contra Costa County: San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Martinez Lafayette, Danville, Brentwood, Concord Antioch, Oakley and Discovery Bay.

Standard Job Description:

Physical therapy goals are to restore function to prevent or minimize disability following disease or injury and to help the client reach his/her maximum performance/function within the limits of his/her capabilities. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients using medically prescribed physical therapy programs. The Physical Therapist may also supervise Physical Therapy Assistants per agency and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities and Duties for Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

Physical Therapist Assistant will carry out the PT developed care plan.

Help patients with mobility, movement, and help in regaining their independence.

Create detailed treatment and care plans for each patient.

Communicate and coordinate with patients’ physicians to ensure a quality level of care.

Coordinate patient progress with the care team.

Evaluate and report patients’ progress.

Qualifications for Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

Current and unrestricted California PT license required.

Must have at least 1 year experience

Current CPR certification

Valid Driver's License

Must be willing to travel within a 20 miles radius to see patients.

Skills:

Strong organization and communication skills both verbally and electronically

Work well independently and in a team

Excel at building rapport with patients and providing the highest quality of care
