This role is for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer, responsible for the specification, design, implementation and verification of high performance processor based circuit board assemblies. You will conceptualize, design and develop products as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. You will be the key technical focal point across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams creating solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will influence electrical design strategy and methodology developments. As an electrical engineering technical expert, you will leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and coach for other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, analyze, and test electronic circuits and PBAs with a focus on high speed digital design

Lead architecture definition and specification reviews with internal and external customers

Help evaluate and define technology and tool roadmaps

Define and improve standard processes and guidelines

Serve as an expert peer reviewer

Lead small electrical design teams

Mentor and coach junior level engineers

US Person Requirements:

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics

10 years of computing architecture and high-speed digital design experience

WE VALUE

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering

Strong experience with Commercial and Military Aerospace Standards and Requirements, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, DO-160, Boeing D6, Airbus ABD-0100, DO-254, etc.

Knowledge of Digital Design standards and best practices

Extensive experience with circuit design and analysis tools, Siemens EDA DXDesigner, HyperLynx SI & PI, LTSpice, etc.

Ability to analyze quality metrics and act on data to improve quality, reliability and robustness

Expert knowledge of electronic product and process technologies

Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision

Ability to consistently demonstrate business impact and continuous drive for improvement

Ability to influence customers and cross-functional teams to deliver optimal outcomes

Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment
