The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare services to students and staff, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires expertise in first aid and triage, medication administration, documentation of medical incidents, and effective communication with families during health emergencies.
Description: (Prerequisite Nurse Aide, on state registry) Perform duties of Medication Aide with proficiency and provides medication and records the provision of medications to students under the direction and monitoring of a registered nurse according to the provision of State Regulations for Medication Aides.
Experience and Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in healthcare or a related field preferred. Certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent licensure (CNA)required Must be able to obtain any required food handling and sanitation certifications. Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements
A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Requires a CMA license in the District of Columbia Requires a DC Administration of Medication license/certification Ability to lift at least 51 lbs on a regular basis and physically able to help residents who require physical assistance Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
