Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, storm, or other damages.
Accurately scope and document property damage, including measurements, photographs, and notes.
Prepare detailed estimates using
Xactimate
in line with industry standards and insurance guidelines.
Review insurance scopes of work and negotiate with adjusters to ensure fair and adequate claim settlements.
Qualifications:
2+ years
of experience in restoration estimating or insurance claim estimating.
Proficient in Xactimate
(Level 2 or higher certification ).
Strong knowledge of property restoration (water, fire, mold, storm).
Understanding of insurance claim processes and terminology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if field work is required).
IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, etc.) are a plus.
Experience with Matterport, DocuSketch, or other 3D imaging tools is a plus
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based or remote, with occasional site visits required depending on the position.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during high-volume periods.
Coordinate with project managers and production teams to ensure seamless handoff and project execution.
Provide timely updates to clients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders regarding estimate status and revisions.
Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all communications, estimates, and files related to claims.
Stay up to date with local building codes, insurance practices, and restoration industry trends.
Assist with change orders, supplements, and re-inspections as needed.
Ensure compliance with company estimating policies, procedures, and turnaround times.
