Senior Planning Engineer
Location: Warrington (3 days on-site per week)
Salary: £55,300 - £70,700 per annum (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Eligibility: British or dual (BPSS clearance required)
We're supporting a major player in the nuclear sector with the appointment of a Senior Planning Engineer to join their project delivery team in Warrington.
The Role
You'll provide full lifecycle planning support across complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programmes. Responsibilities will include:
Developing, baselining, and maintaining integrated project schedules
Providing regular updates, performance metrics, and critical path analysis
Supporting earned value management (EVM) and schedule risk analysis
Aligning planning data with cost/resource management systems
Interfacing with project, commercial, and engineering teams to ensure alignment
Producing reports for senior stakeholders and ensuring planning best practices
What You'll Need
Proven experience in project planning within a regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, energy, defence, infrastructure)
Expertise in Primavera P6
Degree in engineering, project management, or construction management (or related discipline)
Professional qualification (e.g., APM, Acoste, RICS)
Experience with resource/cost loading, stakeholder engagement, and reporting
Strong understanding of planning methodologies and schedule risk management
BPSS clearance is mandatory; applicants must be British or dual nationals
