Qualifications
- Operating front-end loader as primary job function: 2 years (required)
- Mulch and/or soil production experience (preferred)
- Valid Driver\'s License (required)
- Hoisting License (required)
Required Skills
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a front-end loader in a work environment.
- Mulch and/or soil production experience necessary
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks.
- Good record-keeping skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Ability to work with limited direction.
- Basic math skills.
- Reliable transportation.

Equipment Operator
- Must have front-end loader experience (example: Volvo 110 or larger) and experience with either a grinder, log loader, or excavator
- This is not an entry-level position.
- Applicants without the necessary experience will not be considered
- All eligible applicants should expect to complete a skills demonstration as part of an interview
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate front-end loader in a safe and efficient manner to meet production needs and customer orders
- Load outgoing trucks promptly and accurately
- Feed grinders, hoppers, color machines, screeners, etc.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily production
- Learn and Understand product mixes and quality standards
- Perform daily inspections and upkeep of equipment
- Perform basic maintenance on loaders and grinders
- Maintain a clean machine inside and out
- Understand and execute pile management practices
- Communicate with customers and drivers via radio or in person clearly and professionally
- Willingness to learn to operate additional machinery including forklifts, log loaders, etc.
- May perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Work 40+ hours per week
- Work indoors & outdoors in varied temperature & weather conditions
- Lift 50+lbs
