FAB/SHEET METAL MECHANIC

Work Hours:

Weekend Shift 5:00am - 6:00pm Fri. - Sun.

Pay:

$21.00 to $26.00 an hour DOE

Royell Manufacturing, Inc. is an independent company and global supplier of structural airplane parts such as precision components, kits and assemblies for the aerospace industry. Products are machined and fabricated from aluminum, titanium and specialty alloys for large commercial, regional and business aircraft programs.

You will be titled as a machinist; however, your roll will be to work in the FAB Department, and you will be working with sheet metal.

A Machinist shall be learning to complete a variety of CNC milling, manual machining, and deburring assignments while running proven programs. You will be working with constant technical instruction. Some blueprint reading skills and a general understanding of machining, turning and assembly best practices is required.

Requirements

Bending, cutting, fabricating, and folding sheet metal Able to inspect work for accuracy Capable (with some assistance) of completing work assignments when given the following: Work orders Standard work plans Parts Lists Blueprints Details parts PCM's

CNC Milling: Capable (with some assistance) of running uncomplicated 3rd axis parts with proven programs: Replacing cutters and inserts Entering/correcting offsets

Capable (with some assistance) of performing uncomplicated machining processes: Milling Cutting profiles Honing Drilling/Reaming Precision Boring Tapping holes

Manual Machining: Capable of laying out uncomplicated jobs (with some assistance) while running manual machines making simple parts using: Height Gages Tape Measures/Scales Scribes Micrometers Dial Calipers Other equipment

Deburr: Capable of independently setting up and completing uncomplicated deburr processes: Edge breaks Blending out cutter transitions Cleaning parts Using scotchbrite and buffing wheels

Capable of independently using a wide range of deburr tools: 90° Angle Grinders Pencil Guns/Rout-a-Burr Cartridge Rolls

Capable of completing necessary manufacturing paperwork Maintain organized work area Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous fabrication/sheet metal work experience
