Job Purpose:
Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and corrective actions. Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
Job Responsibilities:
• Deliver oversight and guidance to the region on all matters related to safety and security. Requires in-depth knowledge of local safety regulations as they apply to manufacturing and warehouse settings. • Partner with Regional Business Leaders to identify, prioritize and manage safety and security risks. • Utilize experience and safety technical expertise to assist co-workers at all organizational levels with ad hoc problem-solving and issue resolution. • Engage in open and honest dialogue with co-workers at all organizational levels to encourage a positive safety culture and establish a proactive approach of bring forward issues, concerns and suggestions. • Conduct safely audits and inspections to monitor safety performance and compliance with standards. Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and reports. • Provide and/or coordinates safety training. • Ensure regulatory reports are completed and submitted in an accurate and timely fashion. • Oversee incident investigations and partners with cross-functional team members to manage post-incident process. • Collaborate with functional safety team to develop and continuously improve company safety policies, procedures and training programs.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
This position pays between $120,000 to $130,000 plus bonus potential Delivers oversight and guidance to the region on all matters related to safety. • 2+ years working in a warehouse environment. Distribution warehousing experience preferred.
• Professional safety, environmental, and DOT management experience. General knowledge of applicable safety, environmental. and DOT governmental regulations, specifically OSHA, EPA, and DOT and their applications if required.
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
