River's Edge Pharmacy has become a leader in infusion therapy services. Administered by specially trained infusion nurses, these services are provided at standalone locations, physicians' offices, or in the home of the patient. Each location provides individualized care in a private setting for procedures including IVIG, Hemophilia, Chemotherapy, TPN, and Pain Management.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacist who is eager to take the next step in their career by training to become a Pharmacy Manager. As a Pharmacist, you will work closely with our experienced pharmacy team to learn the ins and outs of pharmacy operations and staff supervision. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated pharmacist to gain the necessary skills and experience to excel in a leadership role within our organization.

Position Summary: Perform functions to dispense prescription medications to patients in keeping with providers' prescription orders, provide expert counsel to patients regarding the safe use of prescription medications, and ensure that pharmacy prescription services are provided in compliance with regulatory, policy and procedure requirements for accuracy, safety, and security, while providing excellent customer service; making decisions based on precedent and working within the limits of established policy.

Essential Functions:

Dispense and oversee the filling of prescriptions to ensure that each patient receives the medications exactly as prescribed by medical providers. Perform sterile compounding, pharmaceutical calculations and age/disease specific pharmacokinetic dosing when applicable. Directly supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel in the appropriate compounding, packaging and labeling of compounded sterile product. Follow company policies and procedures, accreditation requirements and applicable regulations, standards, state, federal and local laws. Review monitor IV medication therapy for patients in the home care and other outpatients settings. Ensure effective communications with providers, patients and associates to provide patient focused superior accuracy, safety and security. Provide patient consultations regarding safe use and storage of prescription medications, relevant health factors, and to respond to inquiries. Consult with prescribing physicians as questions warrant. Provide technical, policy, and regulatory guidance to pharmacy technicians to ensure that all medications are accurately dispensed, recorded, labeled and stored for pick up or delivery and that all reimbursements for prescription medications are accurately processed and recorded. Assist with the maintenance of work flow, assigning technicians and other pharmacy associates to tasks required to maintain order and ensure efficient, compliant pharmacy operation. Monitor the receipt, recording, and organization of prescription medications arriving in the pharmacy. Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure that pharmacy operations are in complete compliance with procedural, policy and regulatory requirements. Other Duties

Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies. Education/Experience Requirements

B.S. or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. (required) Active California pharmacist license in good standing. (required) Must have prior experience with Specialty or Infusion pharmacy. (required) 1-2 or more years' experience with Specialty or Infusion Pharmacy. (preferred) Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour

*Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.*
