(Systems Engineer) Field Service Engineer - CNC Machine Tools & Controls
Rhode Island
Position:
Field Service Engineer
Location: Kingstown, RI
Salary: $
26 to $40/hr plus OT
Summary: The Service Engineer is responsible for performing CNC machine tools startup and installation on the shop floor and at the customer site.
Responsibilities: • Troubleshooting of wiring and electrical systems • Troubleshooting of fluid and electrical servo-activated systems • Troubleshooting of closed and open-loop axes control • CNC first software load, logic debugging, and parameters configuration • Train hands of junior system engineers • CNC axis compensation for machine geometry.
Qualifications & Experience: • Strong programming or ladder logic skills • Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits • CNC machine parameters and axis drive parameters tuning • CNC geometry and positioning axis compensation • Interpretation of electrical and fluid schematics • Solid communication skills • Able to effectively organize and prioritize day-to-day activities • 2-5 years of related experience in an automated manufacturing environment • domestic and international travel • Related previous experience in an automated manufacturing environment
Education: • High School diploma required • Technical degree preferred
