Description

Churchill Consulting Engineers is seeking an highly motivated Junior Water Resources/Civil Design Engineer to join our team! Churchill is a full service engineering firm that provides public and private sector clients with planning, design, surveying, permitting, and construction management services for a broad range of civil/infrastructure and environmental projects.

As a Water Resources Engineer, you will collaborate with a team to develop engineering designs for a variety of stormwater management, drainage and transportation infrastructure projects overseen by regional agencies such as the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), as well as County agencies and municipalities throughout the State. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and grow within a well-established consulting firm. Candidate should be organized, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and within a team.

Key Responsibilities Under the supervision of a professional engineer, design various project elements including drainage conveyance systems, stormwater management BMPs, hydraulic design of bridges and culverts, and other related elements. Prepare/assist with 3D design models in Civil 3D, Microstation Inroads and Openroads software. Draft contract plans and details for various project phases including preliminary design and final design. Perform engineering design calculations. Prepare quantity calculations, cost estimates and supplemental specifications. Perform site visits to support design efforts. Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies and prepare meeting minutes. Work within a team. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related Engineering discipline 3-5+ years of related experience Strong communication and technical writing skills Ability to work within a team and independently Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent computer skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
