New Tech Global is currently seeking a Warehouse Coordinator for a client in North Houston, TX. This position requires someone to be dedicated to an early morning shift of 6:00a - 4:30p, Monday - Friday. Overtime is available.

Overview The Warehouse Coordinator (Warehouse Assistant) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of material flow within the warehouse, including incoming and outgoing deliveries. This role manages the movement of supplies, products, and inventory throughout the facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with environmental and operational standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The Warehouse Coordinator reports directly to the Facility and Shop Supervisor.

Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries with trucking companies. Load and unload shipments using forklifts and overhead cranes. Allocate and organize storage locations according to operational requirements. Oversee inventory planning, storage, and control activities. Accurately mark and track inventory; update and maintain the storage database. Perform regular cycle counts to monitor inventory and identify shortages; communicate issues to relevant departments. Partner closely with the purchasing team on operational needs. Pick and prepare materials for manufacturing and outgoing shipments. Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and quality inspections of shipments. Report any damage to incoming inventory or packaging to management. Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, operating procedures, and housekeeping guidelines. Operate and inspect material handling equipment safely; report concerns to management. Scan and file all goods receipts, delivery tickets, and tracking documents. Communicate shipping updates to customers, engineers, and the purchasing department. Safely climb ladders and stairs to store and retrieve inventory. Engage positively with coworkers, vendors, and drivers to foster effective collaboration.

Qualifications (Required)

High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in material management, warehouse operations, and inventory control Proficiency with ERP systems (purchasing/inventory management software) Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred

Associate's degree or relevant military experience 10+ years of experience in material management, warehouse operations, and inventory control

Working Conditions

Emphasis on safety for self and others, including strict adherence to PPE requirements at all times. Frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, extreme cold or heat, and high winds. Potential exposure to environmental chemicals, gases, fumes, noise, dampness, radiation, and heights. Must be capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Maintain a clean work area to include shipping and receiving and inventory locations.
