Madden Industrial Craftsmen
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Industrial Sandblaster to join our team in Phoenix, AZ . This role is responsible for preparing surfaces through sandblasting in a safe and efficient manner. Candidates must be detail-oriented, follow strict safety procedures, and maintain professionalism on-site.
Pay: $25-$30/hr DOE Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift (5:00am-1:30pm).
Key Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety policies: wear PPE, attend safety meetings, and report unsafe conditions immediately Maintain punctuality and professionalism on the job site; communicate time-off requests in advance Create daily work plans and prioritize tasks before each shift Keep the blast booth and workspace clean, organized, and inspection-ready Perform daily cleaning and equipment maintenance, including blast booth and sandblasting tools Accurately track piece counts and time spent on each job for reporting and billing Apply correct blasting standards (SP-1 through SP-15) to meet project specifications Troubleshoot and repair field equipment (blast pot, dust collector, vacuum, etc.) Communicate effectively with foremen, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth operations Contribute to process improvements and team productivity Requirements
3+ years of sandblasting experience in an industrial setting Skilled in equipment inspections and preventative maintenance Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot/repair field equipment Must provide own basic tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, paint scraper, channel locks) Must pass pre-employment screening and be at least 18 years of age Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in coatings or industrial surface prep Knowledge of blasting standards (SP-1,2,3,5,6,7,10,11,13,15) Familiarity with Air Quality Department inspection standards Benefits
