Position Overview

Join our team at Aveanna Healthcare’sPediatric Day Healthcare Center (PPEC)inWest Palm Beach, FL (2005 Vista Parkway, Suite 110A

West Palm Beach, FL 33411), where you’ll provide compassionate, hands-on care to medically fragile children under the supervision of a registered nurse. We are seeking dedicated Clinical Assistants (CNA, PCA, HHA, SHT, Aide) who are passionate about helping children thrive in a safe and engaging environment.

Schedule

This position offers10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with availability required on Fridays.No nights, weekends, or major holidays.

Essential Job Functions

Provide direct care to infants and toddlers, following care plans under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, bathing, toileting, and dressing.

Monitor and record measurements (weight, height, head circumference, etc.).

Help with range of motion exercises and assist in ambulation, positioning, and transfers.

Prepare formula and assist with both oral and tube feedings.

Maintain a safe and nurturing environment through structured play and developmental activities.

Ensure personal hygiene and overall cleanliness of patients by assisting with grooming, diaper changes, and meal assistance.

Perform light housekeeping tasks such as washing dishes, cleaning toys and equipment, changing linens, and managing laundry.

Keep accurate documentation, including patient charts and observations, while promptly reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

One (1) year of experiencein the care of infants and toddlers is required.

Employment references that document skills and experience in caring for infants or children.

CurrentCPR certification(can be obtained during orientation).

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to complete and pass a skills competency check.

Other Skills/Abilities

Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Effective communication and organizational abilities.

Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts quickly and efficiently.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.

Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations in the center.

Work Environment

Exposure to allergens and potential infectious diseases.

Must be comfortable working in a dynamic and occasionally unpredictable environment.
