We have a range of graduate roles across our hardware teams. These opportunities are available within: Central Engineering - Central Processing Unit, Central Engineering - Systems, Solutions Engineering - Implementation, and Solutions Engineering - SoC Architecture. Each Group offers a new perspective and challenge within the Hardware Career pathway. During the application process, you will be able to share your interest for a specific Business Group, or opt-in to all Groups to broaden your opportunities. We work in small to medium-sized teams with most following modern Agile principles. Engineers share ideas, document and present their work, and support the efforts of others while sharing findings impartially and authoritatively. In your role, you will be introduced to the teams and our ways of working and be supported by experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the specification and development of pre-silicon verification plans.
  • Training and development in the latest modern verification techniques.
  • Perform workload characterization to identify power/performance bottlenecks and propose solutions.
  • Develop CAD solutions including external EDA tools integration and work as design engineer in production.
  • Investigate Power, Performance, Area, Time (PPAT) to market and Yield (PPATY) tradeoffs involved in implementation.

Qualifications and What We Are Looking For

  • Currently enrolled and studying towards a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering Degree (Bachelors, Masters or PhD students welcome). Candidates with alternative degrees will be considered if they have relevant experience.
  • Understanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including processor pipelines, caches, and memory hierarchy.
  • Fundamental understanding of power and performance concepts as they apply to devices like networking IPs, CPUs, and caches.
  • Excellent programming skills including experience with C++, SystemVerilog, SystemC TLM, Java and/or Python.
  • Experience with Linux and source control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor Graphics).

  • Salary Range: $116,300-$157,300 per year. The total reward package will be shared with candidates during the recruitment and selection process.
