Lucix also provides RF hardware for Airborne and Ground Systems. All hardware is designed, qualified, manufactured, tested, and shipped from Lucix facilities in California, USA.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team.
This position is ideal for a self-directed, customer focused, independent individual who can lead product assurance and continuous improvement efforts in a manufacturing environment for space products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate, lead and close Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations Support operations and quality control personnel with all quality related issues for product conformance, process/gauge monitoring and improvement Monitor and ensure cross-departmental compliance with Lucix quality and engineering processes Ensure compliance with AS9100, NASA, ESA, and customer-specific quality requirements Manage non-conformance reporting (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Lead and compile End Item Data Packages (EIDPs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual/customer requirements Review engineering designs, drawings, and work instructions to ensure compliance with standards and manufacturability Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related) 3+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace, preferably in spacecraft or satellite systems Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001, NASA or ESA quality standards, and aerospace inspection techniques Experience supporting process audits and improvement initiatives Familiarity with space-qualified components, environmental testing, cleanroom protocols, and EIDP requirements Strong skills in root cause analysis (RCCA) and corrective action methodologies (8D, Fishbone, etc.) Understanding of software quality assurance practices (e.g., compliance with DO-178C, ISO/IEC 9001, or equivalent standards) Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional leadership skills Direct involvement in process development, revision, and document control Hands-on experience creating and certifying EIDPs preferred Certifications: ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or IPC/J-STD certifications a plus
