Base pay range
$108,020.00/yr - $216,040.00/yr
Responsibilities
- New product development – 70%: Electrical design throughout feasibility study, solution simulation and verification, schematic creation, BOM management, PCBA bring-up, function verification test including signal integrity checks for key signals and test report generation. Collaborate with manufacturing to develop electrical functional tests. Provide customer technical support. Work with NPI and Test Engineering teams to transfer design to manufacture.
- Legacy Sustaining – 20%: RMA investigations and implementation of corrective actions. Manage part EOL or part shortage in mass production, suggest alternatives, perform verification and ECO to introduction of parts.
- Technical Development – 10%: Improve product density by identifying technologies to reduce power consumption and reduce PCBA area. Coach junior hardware engineers.
Education & Experience
- B.Sc. degree or above in electronics engineering, telecommunications
- 8+ years of board-level or system-level hardware design experience in telecommunications or embedded systems
- Proven expertise in high-speed digital circuit design, with hands-on experience developing telecom line cards
- Strong skills in analog circuit simulation and practical implementation
- Experience in designing high sensitivity optical signal detection circuits
- Solid background in FPGA-based control system circuit design, including interface and logic integration
- Experience with EDFA (Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier), OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer), or OCM (Optical Channel Monitor) products is a strong plus
Skills
- Familiar with hardware circuit design tools such as Orcad and Cadence Allegro
- Deep understanding of hardware design and engineering process (PCB and PCBA) and quality control
- Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-cultural and global team environments
- Excellent teamwork, self-motivated and responsible
Working Conditions
- May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment
- Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
- May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings
