Job Summary

The Clinic Medical Assistant / Office Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic. This role assists with direct patient care under the supervision of a physician or nurse and performs clerical tasks to support front office functions. The position plays a key role in ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for all patients while supporting the clinical team. Essential Functions

Assist with patient assessments, treatments, and procedures under supervision Perform basic diagnostic tests, collect specimens, and document care provided Monitor and report changes in patient condition to clinical staff Maintain and stock medical supplies and clean exam rooms and equipment Perform front office duties including reception, scheduling, registration, and data entry Handle phone calls, patient check-in/check-out, and insurance verification File and maintain patient records in accordance with privacy policies Provide excellent customer service and represent the clinic in a professional manner Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations

Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organizational and time management skills Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with patient movement Manual dexterity for paperwork and clinical tasks Visual and auditory acuity required Fast-paced outpatient clinic setting Exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, and potentially hazardous materials Use of PPE in compliance with infection control standards Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program preferred Licenses/Certifications

Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within time frame specified by facility policy Experience

Minimum of one year in a healthcare or medical office setting required Physician practice experience preferred
