Position Summary

Reports to the Supervisor, Student Recruitment. Responsible for timely support of student application processing for MTC Job Corps Centers in compliance with government and management directives.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Provide timely student application processing for MTC Job Corps Centers, including prospective student outreach, application processing, and background submission.
  • Interview interested candidates and obtain required information; ensure all documents required to support eligibility are obtained, properly completed and included in the applicant's file.
  • Coordinate and maintain communications with centers pertaining to center input needs.
  • Refer youth to designated screening or other support agencies, as appropriate.
  • Prepare necessary and required reports related to the recruitment effort.
  • Maintain accountability logs of organizations contacted, individuals contacted, referrals to screening agencies and subsequent enrollments.
  • Coordinate with MTC Job Corps Centers, MTC leadership, and DOL personnel to ensure efficient operations including contract compliance, audits, and assessments.
  • Follow established plans, procedures, systems, goals, and objectives to ensure Job Corps Outreach & Admissions contract compliance and achievement of DOL established outcomes.
  • Stay current with center statistics and maintain continuous contact with the centers to coordinate efforts, discuss problems and develop resolutions.
  • Ensure full compliance with MTC and government recordkeeping requirements
  • Contribute to an environment that encourages customer service, teamwork, and innovation.
  • Communicate business processes to varied levels across the organization.
  • Optimize services through process improvement for the assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Be familiar with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to designated business process.
  • Demonstrate ownership for assigned business process through continued process improvement.
  • Provide a best-in-class customer service experience through timely processing, response times, and issue resolution.
  • Meet operational performance metrics.
  • Adhere to programs and policies within the service team.
  • Provide feedback that will identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of business process(es).
  • Work closely with other members of the management team ensuring the Shared Services Strategy is aligned with business objectives.
  • Contribute to our company Culture of Caring by maintaining positive and respectful relationships with employees, customers, vendors, program recipients and our community.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one-year related experience. Bachelor’s in a related field preferred.
  • Must have knowledge and experience using Microsoft 365 Office Suite and/or personal computer systems.
  • Preferred experience with Oracle Fusion, applicant tracking system, and ticketing software solution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team effort.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Unless waived by management, a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
