We are seeking a mission-aligned, self-motivated Site Coordinator to support the daily operations of the organization's tutoring program at assigned schools or community sites in the Washington, DC area.
Schedule Options:
Option A: ~24.5 hours per week; 4 days/week (Monday-Thursday)
General schedule: mid-morning through early afternoon, plus after-school coverage • Mon, Tues, and Thur: 9:13am - 1:30pm • Tues, Wed, and Thur: 2:30pm- 5:30pm
Option B: ~22 hours per week; 3 days/week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday)
General schedule: one full-day (morning-afternoon) and two shorter morning shifts • Mon: 8:50am-4:30pm, Tues* & Fri 8:55am-12:40pm • Wed & Thur: 11:18am-4:30pm
Option C : ~24 hours per week; 4 days/week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
General schedule: two full-day (morning-afternoon) and two afternoon shifts • Mon & Wed: 11:33am-4:20pm • Tues & Thur: 8:00am-3:15pm
Option D: ~17 hours per week; 2 days/week (Tuesday, Thursday)
General schedule: two full-day (morning-afternoon) shifts • Tues & Thurs: 8:20am-3:30pm
Option E: ~14.5 hours per week; 2 days/week (Tuesday, Thursday)
General schedule: full-day (morning-afternoon) with multiple shorter session blocks • Tues-Thur 8:20am-3:30p
Our Ideal Candidate 2+ years of experience working with school-age children (teaching, tutoring, or mentoring) Experience in leadership roles in youth program coordination preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite, Adobe Pro, Excel, and task management systems Demonstrated ability to support students using the high-impact tutoring model Ability to multitask and manage priorities with attention to detail Strong written and oral communication skills Additional Information:
Uniforms are required daily. Two uniforms are provided at no cost. Must pass a background check and required drug screening How You'll Spend Your Day
Coordinate daily operations and maintain a positive, safe, and enriching environment Support students with tutoring and manage basic classroom needs Help plan and facilitate events (e.g., back-to-school nights, performances) Maintain organized site visuals (e.g., bulletin boards, branded materials) Prepare and restock program materials (e.g., supplies, forms, portfolios) Utilize proper classroom management skills Collaborate with tutors and school staff to ensure academic support is aligned Monitor timesheets and hours for tutors Support team development and enforce program protocols and HR practices Draft and send weekly emails to the site team Set clear expectations and ensure accountability among students and tutors Track student attendance and tutoring session outcomes Distribute and collect pre- and post-program surveys Input session data and assignment completion into the organization's data tools Monitor progress toward high-impact tutoring (HIT) goals
