POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and maintain database systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role requires hands-on expertise in database monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
DATABASE MONITORING & PERFORMANCE
Monitor database uptime, performance, space usage, and error logs Respond to alerts from monitoring tools and automated systems Track system performance metrics and identify potential issues Generate performance reports and capacity planning recommendations TROUBLESHOOTING & ISSUE RESOLUTION
Troubleshoot issues including slow queries, blocking, failed jobs, and connection problems Perform root cause analysis for database incidents and performance issues Provide permanent fixes for recurring problems Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions USER & SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Create and modify user accounts and permissions Implement database security policies and access controls Manage authentication and authorization systems Conduct security audits and compliance reviews BACKUP & RECOVERY
Execute backup and recovery actions according to established procedures Test backup integrity and recovery processes Maintain disaster recovery documentation and procedures Coordinate disaster recovery testing and failover procedures DATABASE MAINTENANCE & OPTIMIZATION
Hands-on experience in disaster recovery and performance tuning Manage patch and upgrade management processes Perform database maintenance tasks and optimization Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations INSTANCE & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Manage database instances, databases, buffer pools, and tablespaces Configure and optimize database parameters and settings Monitor and manage storage allocation and utilization Implement capacity planning and resource optimization strategies QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
5+ years
of hands-on database administration experience Strong background
in database performance monitoring and tuning Extensive experience
with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures Proven expertise
in troubleshooting complex database issues TECHNICAL SKILLS

Experience with major database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) Monitoring Tools:
