Description Under general supervision, instructor will teach small group of adult students (10 to 15) within local prison facility. Course content will focus on teaching positive communication skills and workplace skills using curriculum provided by the College. Students vary in skill levels, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences.
Schedule: 2 to 3 days/week, 8 AM until 11 AM

Primary Duties
Delivers engaging instructional activities and lessons for adult learners Discusses and helps set appropriate goals with each student (academic, employment, community) Keeps accurate records Maintains positive, professional relationships and communication with students as well as college and prison staff Communicates effectively with others in person, through email, and by telephone Participates in staff development sessions, trainings, and other college functions as appropriate No outside class duties required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Teaching experience or relevant human service/case management work preferred but not required Good interpersonal and communication skills Considerable discretion in the handling of confidential information and sensitive materials
