The current opportunity would work out of our Kentwood, MIlocation.
The Opportunity:
This position is for a 3rd shift Maintenance & Repair Technician. This is an hourly position that does not involve direct management of people. In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Maintain optimal utilization of plant equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: PLC troubleshooting, understanding electrical prints and schematics to facilitate repairs of equipment. Read, follow and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, service manuals and manufacturers' specifications. Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repair of all equipment. Help maintain spare part inventory accuracy. REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED Experience in machine repair of hydraulic trim presses, vacuum forming, robotic trim, extrusion equipment, air compressors, chillers and assembly equipment Minimum 5 years of experience and related course work or Journeyman Machine Repair Standard knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to use email functions on the computer. Standard knowledge of tools including, welding, mills, lathes, cutting equipment, metal shear and brake, measuring, and drill tools Strong time management, prioritization, multi-tasking, organizational and analytical skills. Ability to obtain Hi-Lo Certification
Sunday-Thursday (Monday-Friday schedule) 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM 40 hours per week with occasional overtime and weekend work.
