Position: Aide, Special Education - SAIL
Location: La Porte Junior High
Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Valid SBEC Educational Aide certificate Associate's Degree or 48 or more college hours or NCLB ParaEducator Certification issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational entity Job Description:
Assist the teacher(s) in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including the campus SAIL Program, self-help, behavior management and instruction. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher. Other duties as assigned.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stoopping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Frequent walking Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds) Environment: Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements Mental Demands: Maintain control under stress

Minimum: $14.31
Midpoint: $17.24
