Daily Responsibilities for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Float: Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and health screenings for patients across the lifespan. Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions within the scope of practice. Prescribe medications and provide patient education on proper use, side effects, and lifestyle modifications. Perform minor procedures such as wound care, immunizations, and point-of-care testing. Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Promote preventive care through health counseling and routine screenings (e.g., vaccines, wellness exams). Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer patients to appropriate specialists as needed. M-F: 8a-5p
Required Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Float:
Clear and active NP or PA license 1-2 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Float:
At least 1-2+ years of experience Experience in meeting the medical needs of patients with complex behavioral, social and/or functional needs Understanding of Geriatrics and Chronic Illness Understanding of Advanced Illness and end of life discussions Proficient computer skills including the ability to document medical information with written and electronic medical records
