The Role The Vice President of Alternative Accounting Operations will lead the accounting operations for a diverse array of alternative investment products, such as Limited Partnerships, REITs, BDCs, Interval Funds, and Digital Assets. This influential position requires substantial expertise in team leadership, oversight of daily deliverables, driving pivotal initiatives, evaluating business performance, and managing executive relationships. Collaborating across various departments, including Asset Management, Legal, Risk, and Compliance, you will play a crucial role in product launches and develop processes tailored for fund record keeping, investor services, tax reporting, and financial reporting. Your contributions will help ensure that the Alternative Accounting Team can effectively support Fidelity's expanding Alternative product offerings. Guide the development, implementation, and ongoing operations of various alternative products, including partnerships in both standalone and master-feeder structures. Conduct thorough reviews of portfolio activities focusing on valuation, investor allocations, and complex expense calculations. Assist with inquiries from internal and external auditors, and manage compliance and risk assessments. Provide mentorship and direction to analysts within the team, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-training. Support the establishment of operational processes and procedures for new product offerings. Ensure that all processes comply with Risk and Compliance controls, along with clear communication of policies and procedures. The Expertise & Skills You Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent, with 15+ years of experience in financial services, including at least 10 years in Private Equity, Hedge Funds, and Alternative Investments, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of equivalent experience. Proficient in Geneva and Geneva World Investor, along with a strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. In-depth knowledge of front-to-back operations for alternative products, with a focus on private equity, private debt, digital assets, cryptocurrencies, hedge funds, BDCs, and REITs. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, adept at managing multiple high-priority tasks and deadlines. Advanced understanding of partnership accounting, investor allocations, and complex calculations involving management and incentive fees. Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP standards. Experience managing portfolio expense structures, recoupments, and revenue-sharing agreements. Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills, capable of crafting and delivering concise presentations to all levels of leadership. Able to present well-reasoned recommendations and engage constructively with key decision-makers. Experience in building and managing teams, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent in Alternative products and operations. Strong collaborator, skilled at influencing others and maintaining productive relationships within a professional context. Note:

The Team The Alternative Accounting Team operates within Fidelity's Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) division, offering essential back-office support for both Retail and Institutional products. This includes maintaining books and records, pricing securities, analyzing fund performance, and handling tax-related work. The FFIO Alternative Accounting Team manages daily, monthly, and quarterly pricing and bookkeeping for Fidelity's alternative products, focusing on complex fund structures across various investment strategies, such as digital assets, distressed debt, direct lending, and private equity. Most roles at Fidelity operate in a Hybrid model, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
