Our client is seeking an Apparel Cost Manager in fashion/apparel industry!
As a Costing Manager, you will obtain costing for all styles from our factories and analyze costs to ensure they are in alignment with previous styles from a cost perspective. Look at the big picture of costing for the company to ensure vendor's costing is within our parameters. Duties will include reviewing cost requests, requesting cost from multiple vendors, evaluating product samples, determining fabric usage and cut costs to ensure costing is accurate and in line with our standards. You will also work closely with our sales team to ensure they have the current costs.
Cost new custom styles for design and sales teams for all brands Review samples to match the Design sheet for new products Record and File Data used for Costing - using company costing chart. Ensure the completion of the Costing steps in PLM (Business rules) - enter the final cost in PLM once price is agreed by vendor. Detailed knowledge of Fabric (Calculate standard yardage) Sewing operations (Standard / Calculate non existing operations) Analyze and review changes of existing styles and communicate accordingly to the proper departments to update the product setup in the system What you bring to the table:
10+ years in the apparel industry and/or any manufacturing products exposure Ability to interact/collaborate with cross functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills with proven leadership skills Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills Detail oriented with interest in apparel construction. Strong written and verbal skills Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook Experience with ERP and PLM software programs Experience using excel cost sheets.
