Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor and direction of the Warehouse Leader, this position:
• Assists the Warehouse Forklift Operator in the load/unload functions of both rail and motor carrier equipment. • Hand loads, palletizes, bands, and maintains an accurate count/description of product handled to verify the shipping or receiving items. • Performs warehouse sanitation duties. • Helps with damage product recouping. • Makes pallet repairs utilizing the various tools required such as power saws, hammers, etc., • Assists in cleanup, inventory, material segregation and other such miscellaneous warehouse duties as directed.

This position will gain knowledge of patterns used in loading product on railcars and trucks to assure the proper loading of units assigned in compliance with the Lamb Weston Frozen Food Product Handling Policy. This position will always maintain safe work practices and participates in safety programs. You will be taught to understand information is on the manifest tickets and how this information applies to your responsibilities. You will be trained to understand the procedure for "First in First Out" procedures. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Fire Watch duties (certified training provided) This position is responsible for the handling, storing and distribution of materials and pallets. This position will be trained to understand product codes, labels, catalog codes, and sizes of product produced or packaged in the plant and by outside packers to assure proper recording of exact amounts of shipping or receiving of product or supplies and reporting of damaged goods before forwarding to the warehouse clerks. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold in the freezer and extreme heat in the summer months. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. 12 hour shifts (7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM). Consistent rotating schedule of three shifts one week, four the next, with every other weekend off. Overtime rate of time-and-a-half paid for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week. Must be able to communicate effectively and understand both verbal and written instructions. Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds and on occasion, may have to lift or exert up to 100 pounds with team lifting. Industry-Competitive Benefits
