Overview

Job Title: Electrical Apprentice (Year 2 or Year 3)
Location: Cedar City, UT
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician
Wage Range: Depends on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in accordance with the NEC and Utah state regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and install electrical devices with minimal supervision.
• Safely use power tools, test equipment, and hand tools.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.
• Adhere to all company and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Keep tools and work area organized and clean.
• Log apprenticeship hours and complete required education hours for licensing.

Requirements

• Active Utah Electrical Apprentice License in good standing.
• Completion of at least one year of a registered electrical apprenticeship program.
• Enrollment in or completion of related electrical coursework (through an approved school or training provider).
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience under a licensed electrician.
• Working knowledge of NEC and basic electrical theory.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Valid Utah driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Experience with residential and commercial systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
