Primary Job Function
The primary role of the Warehouse Associate I includes:
Receiving, inspecting, and properly storing incoming inventory.
Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.
Assisting with staging and loading commercial delivery vehicles.
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, workstations, and
equipment.
Supporting inventory accuracy through participation in cycle counts, and inventory
audits.
Assisting Warehouse Associate II, Branch Assistant Manager, Warehouse Manager,
Director of Warehouse Operations, or Service & Operations Manager with daily tasks as
needed.
Pre-Requisite Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Bilingual skills in Spanish is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse equipment and technology (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, bar code scanners). Minimum of six months to one year of warehouse or logistics experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, team assisted lift for heavier items. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Willingness to work collaboratively with other team members in a professional manner. Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment.
Essential Job Tasks Arrive promptly and ready to perform daily tasks. Assist in receiving and processing merchandise accurately and efficiently. Assist with inbound and outbound demonstration units. Organize inventory and maintain proper placement in bins and storage areas. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Maintain valid forklift operator certification. Always follow company and OSHA safety standards. Support shop repairs by managing necessary parts. Support sales representatives in their responsibilities, as needed. Support delivery and staging of equipment and products. Participate in inventory cycle counts and help reconcile discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow. Report issues, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors promptly. Assist other departments as directed. Physical Demands Requires working in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures with exposure to noise and moving equipment. Requires standing, walking, lifting, and manual operation of equipment throughout the work shift. Lift up to 50 lbs. independently; team assist lifts required for heavier items to maintain safety.
