We are hiring substitutes in Parkway School District. No previous experience is required! Substituting is an opportunity to be a mentor and help students become the best versions of themselves. Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day. Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher. Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher’s aides, instructional assistants, classroom assistants or education assistants.

Minimum Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- 36 college credit hours or high school diploma and completion of substitute training course
- Kelly offers the substitute Pathways Substitute Training course for candidates without the 36 college credit hours Missouri Substitute Certification Process
Substitute Pay Rates
- Teacher: $120 per day
- Paraprofessional: $15.00 per hour
- Clerical: $15 per hour
Responsibilities And Job Description
- Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
- Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
- For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lesson plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
