Goodyear is seeking motivated individuals to join our team in Texarkana, AR as Industrial Electricians. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, interpreting drawings, and running projects with minimal instruction. This role requires self-direction and the ability to work on projects with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Interpret drawings related to the installation and operation of machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Manage small to medium-scale projects with minimal instruction.
• Operate appropriate instruments and gauges to diagnose electrical issues.
• Maintain safety practices and adhere to plant safety procedures.

Shift Information

Shift: 12-hour shift, night shift is typical for new hires.

Schedule: 2-2-3 continuous work schedule (provides overtime opportunities and a three-day weekend every other week).

Work Environment

Location: Texarkana, AR Plant. Fast-paced, heavy industrial environment; may require work in different factory areas. Environmental conditions can be hot, cold, and noisy. Safety is the top priority; use required protective gear.

Base Pay and Sign-On Bonus

Base pay: Electricians enrolled in the Multicraft program earn $40.05 per hour; Singlecraft Electricians start at $33.55 per hour. Multicraft pay begins after qualification (July/January).

Sign-on bonus: $10,000 total, paid over three years, including $4,000 within 30 days.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or the Workforce Center’s Career Readiness Certification (CRC) with Silver level
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Ability to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
• 5 years of industrial electrical experience or successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship
• Must complete aptitude test and hands-on assessment administered by an outside party
