Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $1,987 per week in Augusta, GA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in telemetry nursing License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH certification preferred Must-Have: Experience with managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration Description: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry nursing. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The telemetry unit sees diagnoses including congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, dysrhythmias, hypotension/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and vascular issues. The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:4-5. The unit has 36 rooms with an average daily census of 35 patients. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. Candidates must be able to administer and manage blood products and various medication protocols. The role includes monitoring telemetry, interpreting dysrhythmias, and handling post-cardiac procedures. Candidates should be comfortable managing IV insulin protocols, high-flow nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management. Support is available from interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Compliance with all requirements is necessary prior to the start of the assignment. Candidates must be available to work major holidays during their assignment period. References from supervisory personnel are preferred for submission. Candidates are required to limit requests for time off to a maximum of 7 days.
