Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy
Outdoor Volunteer Day: Agua Amarga Reserve
Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Rancho Palos Verdes, California, United States, 90275
Come and join us help protect and restore the unique and ecologically vital habitat at the Agua Amarga Ecological reserve!
Volunteers are an essential part of restoring this important land so that generations of endangered species and people will be able to enjoy Agua Amarga for years to come. Volunteers will primarily work to remove invasive plant species like black mustard, which out-competes and strangles plants essential to native fauna.
If you would like to volunteer for this event, please register at: https://pvplc.volunteerhub.com/vv2/event/b4525931-f077-4d16-b628-c2409ed1d5a9
The Agua Amarga Ecological reserve is an essential habitat for rare and endangered plant and animal species native to the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
Volunteers will be expected to complete a mild hike into the area where they will be working. We will be working outdoors, so please bring suitable work clothes (closed toe shoes, pants, long-sleeves), sun-protection, snacks and water. Volunteers under 18 years of age will need to have a parent or guardian sign the release form which can be done online when you register for an event.
Thank you for all you do to support the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy!
