Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
Be a Volunteer Ombudsman!
Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, Dayton, Ohio, United States, 45444
Aging is everybody's business! Over 60% of people living in nursing homes do not have any family or friends visit them... this is why our job is so important! We act as advocates and speak on behalf of the residents. Residents have rights and deserve to expect excellence in their care!
COVID has put a spot-light on Nursing Homes, and the struggles the residents have every day with their personal care. Those living in Nursing Homes have been the most vulnerable to this insidious infection. Help us reach out to them. 2023 brought new opportunities for residents and their families to be heard in the State of Ohio. We are making history through Governor Mike Dewine's Nursing Home Task Force. Join our team of dedicated advocates and be their voice! Become a Certified Ombudsman Associate!
We work with individuals receiving long-term care in our communities wherever they live; including Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and some Group Homes in Ohio Region 2. We serve in Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby Counties.
