We are a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center actively seeking a Nurse Manager to join our committed team at The Hub Health Center in the Bronx, NY.
Position Summary
As a Nurse Manager, you will provide professional nursing care to patients at our community health center, working closely with medical staff and adhering to our organization's objectives and policies. You will play a key role in recruitment and training of staff, conducting performance reviews, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Deliver patient education tailored to individual needs and preferences, documenting thoroughly in medical records.
Attend all required training and demonstrate competence in nursing procedures, including relevant laboratory processes.
Lead the clinical staff including nurses, medical and clinical assistants, and laboratory staff, focusing on recruitment, training, and performance management.
Ensure adherence to all workflows and documentation standards in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to meet our quality standards.
Analyze site quality data monthly to develop and implement strategies for improvement, enhancing quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Facilitate the identification of champions for core quality initiatives and ensure proper understanding of workflows and documentation practices.
Oversee laboratory operations and conduct regular reviews of quality control logs.
Conduct regular audits to assess and improve the quality of patient care.
Collaborate with site leadership to launch initiatives that promote outstanding quality of care, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Attend and contribute to monthly leadership and staff meetings.
Maintain knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Lead component meetings with the clinical support team on priority issues regarding quality and patient satisfaction.
Complete annual evaluations and performance reviews of the clinical support team.
Monitor patient follow-up for test results and missed appointments.
Provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care, utilizing medical interpreters as necessary.
Perform direct patient care duties including health history interviews, assistance during examinations, and documentation in medical records.
Essential Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of one-year experience in an acute care setting.
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in New York State; CPR Certification; Infection Control Certification required.

Salary Range: $90,100.00 - $110,000.00 annually
